We are firm believers in being associated with local sport particularly where it is working within and helping the local community.
With this in mind, we have recently become a sponsor of Solihull Moors Football Club located at The Automated Technology Group Stadium on Damson Parkway, 3 miles from Solihull centre. The Moors are currently mid-season of their Vanarama National League North campaign and are pushing for the play-off positions.
The Moors run over 30 youth teams involving over 600 children a week in coaching and playing, including working with children with disabilities. In partnership with Solihull College, The Moors also run two full time Academy teams which are coached by ex-professional Darren Byfield. The Moors also run Development Centres for players which ex-professional Dele Adebola is involved with.
Solihull Moors have developed a Community section that now reaches out to over 1000 kids per week. With an after school coaching programme, social inclusion projects in the North and South of Solihull in partnership with West Midlands Police, and a health and wellbeing programme in schools, The Moors are constantly working with children of different age, gender, and ability to help improve our community. At the other end of the spectrum, The Moors are involved in the relatively new concept of Walking football to promote health & fitness for the over 50’s.
The Moors have a close association with Birmingham City Ladies who are based at the Damson Parkway ground and are regularly featured on BT Sport through live televised matches and a weekly highlights show.
We believe The Moors are doing a wonderful job to help the local community become a better place and we are proud to be associated with their organisation.
